How long does a project take to complete?
This is depends on many aspects of the project: scope and deliverables, your response time and collecting of images and content. Usually, branding with logo design and a web design and development of site can take upwards of 7 weeks. I have been able to get a full package completed in about 3 weeks, but that was with no change in scope and consistent communication. At the beginning of the project we set up a project outline with dates including a final completion date. This way all involved are aware of the project deadlines and keeps the project on track.
How are your prices set?
You can see the base pricing on the services page for each service that I offer. Because each clients needs are different I always discuss a project with a client and cater a custom estimate/proposal to meet their online needs. I want to be fair in my pricing. A site that has an ecommerce component or 20+ pages with custom branding will quote out a lot different than a simple 8 page website. You can complete the online “Request An Estimate” to share basic information and we can go from there with Zoom meeting or phone call to discuss your project.
How can I pay for your services?
I use an online service, Harvest, where I generate and estimate and once you have accepted the estimate/proposal I generate and Invoice. There are few options for payment that I use depending on your needs.
Do you have a payment plan?
Yes, I know what it is like to be a small business on a budget, especially when you are just launching a business. Typically, I require 50% prior to project start, 25% at the half way point in the project and final 25% due at closing of project. I offer budget plans to fit your budget, up to 6 months for projects over $2500, with as little as 30% initial payment. For projects under $2500, I offer payment plans for 4 months with 40% initial payment.
Can you customize your branding package?
Yes, absolutely. If you already have a logo, branding guidelines or fonts we can exclude these from the branding package and cater it to you specific needs. I prefer not to do one off logos without a branding guideline. So, you need to at a minimum need a branding guideline as that is the base of all other work to be done to brand your business.
Do you offer custom fonts?
In most projects I use Google fonts, but I will research fonts for you and help you select the ones that support your overall branding and design. If we use a custom font I will provide the files for you to use as you want with other marketing collateral.
What are the first things we need to do?
Once you accept the estimate I will start gathering colors and fonts for you to review and determine the “personality” and “feel” that you want your site to have. Once the colors and fonts are finalized than I design three logos that you review and from those logos we collaborate on a final logo design. Lastly, I present you with the overall branding guidelines and two logo options.
Do you have a preference for hosting?
I prefer to use HostGator for both domain and website hosting. They have many hosting options, 99.9% uptime guarantee, free SSL certification, and a user friendly administration.
What if I need a website built in less than 4-6 week time frame?
I can do it! There is an additional fee associated with the advance schedule, but we will make you desired launch date.
Do you do any SEO(Search Engine Optimization)?
I do basic SEO setup, which included researching keywords, setting up meta descriptions, and analysis of readability. I can refer you to companies that specialize in the in this area.
I have a business task that is not listed as one of your services?
